My birthday!!! :)

September 19th, 2010

So, Yesterday was my birthdayyy!!! I turned 15!!!! I don’t really feel any older, but whatever. One more year until I can take drivers ed and get my permit!!!!!! Yayy!!! For my bday, i got a coach bag, a pink camera, and a bunch of gift cards and money!!!! I also got like a billion happy birthdays on facebook!

High School: My favorite part of high school might be going to the football games, I don’t even really like football, but it is still soo much fun! You can hang out with your friends and get a chance to talk  with other kids in your school!  If you are in high school our you are about to go into it I think you should go to one! I recommend going with a couple friends though, cause you do NOT want to be at a game alone! It would not be fun and you would look really unpopular!

Fashion: Boots! Wearing boots with a pair of skinny jeans is the perfect look for fall and winter! You can be warm but look good too!!! I usually wear Uggs with skinny jeans, but you can wear any boot of any shape or size and it will look good!!! Come back next week for more tips and tricks!

High School:o !!!, plus the new fashion section!

September 7th, 2010

So I had my first day of high school today!!! My school is sooo big, i got lost like twice! I go to DY High school and it is like 3 floors! The first time that I got lost this really tall senior boy (☺) helped me to my home room and then the second time that i got lost i asked some random teacher where the auditorium was. The seniors weren’t nearly as mean as I thought they would be!!! Plus, I did not get stuffed into a locker! lol  I don’t think it was as bad as I thought it would be, so if you are going into highschool too, you shouldn’t worry too much about it!

Fashion:  Today I wore a purple tank top with little red and white flowers on it by American Eagle Outfitters. It is soo pretty, I loveeit!  Then I wore dark wash shorts that were also by American Eagle Outfitters. Plus, some Old Navy flip flops. Tip: Dress like you. What you wear will tell people about your personality. Wear what you like. Tip 2: Do not EVER wear sweatpants to school! It just looks sloppy and like you don’t even care! Only wear them if that’s how you want people to think of you! Tip 3: don’t be afraid to accessorize! Wear bracelets, necklaces, or earrings, or anything else! Just be careful to over do it.  Too many accessorys can look cluttered and not fashionable. That’s all for today! Bye!!

My favorite quotes☺

August 19th, 2010

So I couldn’t think of something to write about so this is what I decided to do.

* they aren’t in any certain order

  1. Love is like something you can’t describe, like the look of a rose, the smell of the rain, or the feeling of forever.

  2. Live for the moments you can’t put into words

  3. Shoot for the moon, even if you miss you will land among the stars

  4. Live as if you will die tomorrow, dream as if you will live forever

  5. Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, life is about learning to dance in the rain

  6. He gave her 12 roses, 11 real, and 1 fake and said “I’ll love you until the last one dies.”

  7. Move on. It’s just a chapter in the past, but don’t close the book. Just turn the page

  8. When life rains on your parade, bring out the slip and slide ☺

  9. A stranger stabs you in the front, a friend stabs you in the back, a boyfriend stabs you in the heart, but best friends only poke each other with straws

  10. When life gives you 100 reasons to cry, show life 1000 reasons to smile ☺

Summer Heat☼

May 27th, 2010

You can already see summer right around the corner with the 90° weather we had yesterday. But then again, tomorrow it’s supposed to be 50°. That’s Cape Cod weather for you. If you think Cape Cod is always so sunny out with it’s pretty beaches; you are wrong. It can be rainy one minute then perfect weather the next, vice versa. I was playing tennis yesterday with my friends and despite all the sunblock and gulps of water I’m pretty sure I almost died. Last night, there was a huge thunder and lightning storm; it only lasted about 10 minutes.

So, American Idol. Lee DeWyze won! In case you are wondering, I voted for him around 160 times. You, do not even know how happy I was when his name was said. Despite the fact that he is shorter than Ryan Seacrest(that’s really short), he has a powerful raspy voice and not to mention his good looks.☺ Crystal was good and she will probably make it big too, but I think that Lee was a little bit better. My favorite song that he sang was Hallelujah(by Leonard Cohen). It was beautiful and pretty much sent him to success. So, Good Job Lee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Spring!

April 22nd, 2010

Spring has finally come on cape cod! I have brought out all my shorts and t-shirts and put away my winter jacket! The cherry blossom trees are flowery and pretty for this 4 weeks that they exist before the flowers fall off. You can see them everywhere, whether you are at the dump or at the park. It’s last term at school and my last year of middle school is almost over. I think I will be kind of glad it is over, but it will be bittersweet. A lot of my friends will be going to different high schools so next year will definitely be something new. In two months we will have our 8th grade trip to NYC!! It’s going to be great since we get to go to places like the statue of liberty, madame tussauds wax museum, on a cruise ship, and much more! Not to mention shopping!! All I have to do is get through these last two months of school. How is the weather where you live? Are you going on any big trips anywhere?

♫Music…again♫

March 31st, 2010

I love music so much this is probably my second or third post about it. There are some really great songs you should listen too. One song is “Twenty Years” by Augustana. It is a really pretty song and will have you humming along. Another amazing song that you have probably heard of is “The Scientist” by Coldplay. It is another beautiful song that is so well written it blows me away. You may have seen it on American Idolwhere Katelyn Epperly sang it very well. Sorry, if I spelled her name wrong. Those two songs are so powerful and moving you really just want to listen to them over and over again. If you want to listen to them they are the first two songs on the blue iPod on my blog. I have a last band I want to talk about. The band is called He is We. This band has great music anyone can listen to. They are not that well known yet so spread the word. There website is http://heiswe.bandcamp.com/. Download there songs for FREE  and enjoy their music!!! What are some of your favorite songs? Do you have a favorite band that isn’t that well known? Tell me!!

The Blind Side

February 14th, 2010

The movie The Blind Side was one of the best movies ever. Starring Sandra Bullock,Tim McGraw, and newcomer Quinton Aaron, it was a moving story that inspires everyone. It’s a true life story about Michael Oher; he starts out living on his own where ever he can find shelter, he’s a teenager. Did I mention he’s really tall? Well, one day the Tuohys find him walking in the rain and take him in as their own. It is something you really should see and might bring a some tears too. It might even be a better movie than Dear John… I would recommend it for people 13 and older as there are some parts not suitable for younger children. All in all, it is a movie anybody will love and it makes it that much better that it’s a true story. ☺

Snow day with out snow

February 11th, 2010

Yesterday I had a snow day… without snow. We got the call the night before and there was supposed to be tons of snow. I wake up in the morning…no snow. A couple of hours later…no snow. It finally started snowing, but came with a mix of rain so nothing accumulated. By the time it started actually snowing, school would have been over!! So, basically the snow day was a waste. And then, today we had a 2 hour delay! Yes, to 15 minute classes!! :D

Yesterday I went to go see the hit movie Dear John with a friend. Oh My gosh, it was so sad! For those of you who don’t know this is what it’s about… A guy named John is on leave from the army when he meets a girl named Savannah. They seem perfect for each other all through the summer. When John has to go back to the army and Savannah has to go back to school they decide to write letters back and forth. Then one letter decides there fate together. It is a really good movie and I absolutely recommend seeing it!!! Be prepared to cry, bring tissues! :)

Wicked the musical

February 7th, 2010

A little over a month ago I went to see the musical Wicked in Providence, RI. I have to say that it was the best thing I have ever seen. It has everything you want in a musical and more. It has love, comedy, deception, and friendship, all rolled into one. It makes you look at things differently and you will be mesmorized. The whole time I was watching it my mouth was open and was open for the car ride home. I highly recommend going to see it, even if you have to drive a few hours to get to it. Everyone who’s seen the Wizard of Oz can underdtand and love this musical.

For those of you who don’t know what Wicked is about I will tell you. It shows the Wicked Witch of the West (her real name is Elphaba) and Glinda the Good Witch as they grow up. You might be surprised to know they were friends and a couple more surprises are in it too. It is based on the book Wicked by Gregory Maguire. He is known for his stories that are twisted from the original story. One example is Mirror Mirrorwhich twists the traditional story of Snow White into something everbody can appreciate, even adults. I wouldn’t recommend the books for anyone under 14 or 15 because of some parts in it, though the musical Wicked is appropriate for all ages.
